Charles H. Ramsey is the Philadelphia police commissioner and head of the fourth-largest police department in the nation. Earlier in his career, he held top posts in the Chicago and Washington, D.C., police departments. Mr. Ramsey also serves as president of the Police Executive Research Forum and the Major Cities Chiefs Association. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in criminal justice from Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. Siobhan Reardon became the seventh president and director of the Free Library of Phila- delphia in 2008. She is the first woman to hold this position. Previously, she was executive director of the Westchester (N.Y.) Library System and served as deputy executive director of the Brooklyn Public Library. She earned a B.A. from SUNY Purchase, an M.A. from Fordham University, and a M.L.S. from the Palmer School of Library Science at Long Island University. Sheldon Oliver Watts, Ph.D., earned his doctorate degree in nutrition from New York University, his Master of Public Health degree from Boston University, and dual bachelor of science degrees in nutrition and biology from Cornell University. His work has focused on childhood obesity, ethnic variation in chronic disease risk, and faith-based approaches to hypertension treatment. Prior to joining the Temple University staff, Dr. Watts had a faculty appointment at New York University in the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health. Mike Weilbacher became executive director of the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education in 2011. Previously, he served as executive director of the Briar Bush Nature Center and the Lower Merion Conservancy. He also writes a column in the Main Line Times and appears as “Mike the Science Guy” on WXPN-FM’s “Kids Corner.” He received his B.S. in environmental education from Cornell University and an M.S. in environmental communication from the University of Michigan.
