Because the library was free, she could pick any book she wanted. Ms. Reardon still likes to walk. “It is my favorite exercise,” she says. She walks to meetings or after work. She sets aside at least 20 minutes a day to exercise. Her workouts also include lifting small weights. She tries to eat nutritious food, too, such as eggs, oatmeal, and fruit. “People should just try to take care of themselves and try to stay healthy,” Ms. Reardon says. And they should read. “Reading should be something you love to do, not something you have to do,” Ms. Reardon says. It’s important to have a “curious mind” that asks why a lot, she says.
