Kim Nixon-Cave, Ph.D. Associate Professor Thomas Jefferson University and Hospitals 2017 Health Leader Dear Dr. Nixon-Cave, After reading how you encouraged students to care and work hard for their education, I have come to believe you want people to reach their goal. First, you helped to take care of your grandmother. You encouraged your grandmother to do more for herself instead of letting other people wait on her. You were inspired by the ability to help your grandmother, so you planned on becoming a medical doctor. Then you decided to become a physical therapist. You help patients regain movement after accidents or an injury. Finally, you inspire others to achieve their goals. Students tell you that you make them feel they can succeed. You encourage students to care for their education. You said, βItβs everything. No matter what is going on no one can take it away from you.ββ Your work makes me want to achieve and reach my goals. Thank you for helping others believe in what they can do and accomplish it. You have helped me by telling me that education is important and that I can achieve my goal. Yours truly, Serena Ornedo, fourth grade Whitehall Healthy Reporter Letters to leaders(continued) 34 Illustration by Yanieli Santos, William Cramp Fit Flyer
