Healthy NewsWorks has released the Fall 2026 issue of By Kids, For Kids: Making Healthy Connections, featuring student work about how connections can shape health and well-being.
The magazine includes student interviews and reflections, games like word scrambles and scavenger hunts, classroom activities, and a lot of student artwork.
Among the interviews, reporters spoke with Humanature CEO Michael O’Bryan about why social connections matter to health and Camden anime artist and poet Reet Starwind about how art and collaboration can connect people.
Chester Charter Scholars Academy student reporters interviewed Philadelphia Union midfielder Quinn Sullivan about how relationships with teammates can make a difference on and off the field. Quinn shared how spending time together and supporting one another can help teammates build stronger connections.
Reporting teams that developed the main articles are the Catholic Partnership Schools Healthy Courier, Chester Charter Scholars Academy Healthy Highlights, Alexander Adaire Fit Fish, and MaST Healthy Panther Post.
The Fall 2026 edition of By Kids, For Kids is being distributed in Healthy NewsWorks partner schools across the Philadelphia area and South Jersey.
