In April 2025, Healthy NewsWorks student reporters led our 2025 Healthy Conversations event at Independence Blue Cross in Center City Philadelphia. About 150 attendees, including students, their families, educators, community partners, and other community members, joined us for lively table discussions and a Q&A session with student reporters. Attendees also received copies of the Spring 2025 issues of By Kids, For Kids magazine and sampled student health newspapers.
The table discussions during Healthy Conversations focused on “Making Good Decisions,” the 2024–25 reporting theme for Healthy NewsWorks classroom programs. To learn more about the Making Good Decisions theme, including related activities teachers and parents can share with children, click here.
