Become a Community Partner
Healthy NewsWorks community partners—companies, small businesses, and civic organizations—play a meaningful role in our ability to help elementary and middle school student journalists develop their powers of inquiry.
When you become a partner, you directly support K–8 students discovering ways to make themselves and their communities healthier.
Three ways we'll recognize you
During 2026, Healthy NewsWorks will recognize community partnerships in three primary ways.
Healthy Conversations
In April 2026, we’ll feature an evening of food and conversation about health and journalism with student journalists, families, and community leaders. Your sponsorship will be recognized at the event and in event-related materials.
Student-created videos
We will produce videos on the theme “Making Good Decisions,” featuring student interviews, artwork, and reflections. Your organization can be recognized in one or more videos, which you can share with your organization and community. (See highlights of our 2024 film, “Caring for Our Community.”)
By Kids, For Kids magazines
We will print at least 3,000 copies each of our Spring 2026 and Fall 2026 magazines, focused on our “Making Healthy Connections” theme. Your organization’s logo will be displayed in one or both issues along with a Health Tip.
You may choose to have a congratulatory note to acknowledge the Healthy NewsWorks reporters. For instance: A special congratulations to Healthy NewsWorks on its magazine written and illustrated by students! [With your company logo]
