Healthy NewsWorks biannual magazine, By Kids, For Kids, which showcases articles reported and written by our student reporters, will be released at this year’s Healthy Conversations event on April 28.
The Spring edition focuses on the 2025-26 reporting theme, Making Healthy Connections. Our reporters have explored different ways kids build positive relationships with other people. The magazine’s stories cover subjects such as music, sports, empathy, and art. Among the people that students interviewed are the hip-hop group the ILL DOOTS, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Dr. Ken Ginsburg, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children’s Dr. Daniel Taylor.
In addition to these special interviews, the magazine also features student reflections on making healthy connections, games like word scrambles and scavenger hunts, and a lot of student artwork.
The Spring 2026 edition of By Kids, For Kids will be distributed in Healthy NewsWorks partner schools across the Philadelphia area and South Jersey. It will also be available at Healthy NewsWorks’ Healthy Conversations event on Tuesday, April 28. The event features conversations facilitated by some of the reporters whose work is featured in the magazine. For more information about Healthy Conversations, please visit here.
