Healthy NewsWorks is excited to announce that a new collection of student-produced videos has been added to our website.
The videos reflect our 2023–24 reporting theme, “Caring for Our Community and Ourselves,” and each one is paired with a related article that first appeared in an issue of By Kids, For Kids magazine and other Healthy NewsWorks publications.
The reporters explored how kindness, empathy, service, nature, and other topics play an important role in people’s mental and physical health.
For example:
- East Norriton Middle School students reported on the advantages of learning outdoors.
- MaST Community Charter School students shed light on the impact of cyberbullying.
The videos will be used in conjunction with Healthy NewsWorks’ curriculum for students participating in our programming. Educators anywhere can incorporate the videos along with suggested classroom activities through our Teachers page, increasing the number of students who learn some valuable lessons about health at an early age.
