June 2017…Eighth grade reporter Jayden Williams recently told The Philadelphia Public School Notebook that  “Healthy NewsWorks has given him opportunities to learn and grow through journalistic endeavors.” Jayden was one of some 110 Healthy NewsWorks reporters who contributed to the program’s sixth book, Leading Healthy Change In Our Communities 2017. A Notebook reporter who attended the book launch was able to learn about the Healthy NewsWorks program and meet with some of the students and health leaders featured in this year’s book.  The Notebook, which serves as an information source for the Philadelphia public school community, highlighted how Healthy NewsWorks provides information about health issues to schools and also works to meet literacy needs among students.
