A short video featuring Philadelphia Union soccer player Quinn Sullivan’s recent interview with fifth-grade reporters at Chester Charter Scholars Academy is now available, along with other articles, photos, and illustrations.
Quinn shared with them how he builds connections with teammates on and off the field and why those relationships matter in professional soccer. He told students that getting to know players as people is just as important as working together during games.
“Growing together off the field is super important to growing together on the field,” Quinn said.
The students used the interview to write several articles for the spring edition of the school’s Healthy Highlights newspaper. In addition, the issue includes an article about ways to cope with anxiety, based on an interview with a school counselor. The students also contributed reflections about their own experiences handling anxiety.
