Bring free health activities and videos into your classroom or home with ready-to-use resources for students in grades K to 8. Available on the Healthy NewsWorks teachers page, the materials can be used by any teacher or parent, anywhere.

The Classroom Activities gives students opportunities to explore a range of health and well-being topics. Students can learn about resilience, kindness, friendship, mindfulness, empathy, and coping skills. They can research and write about healthy decision-making and examine how relationships and community contribute to healthy connections. Teachers and parents can also find ideas that encourage students to express themselves through writing and art.
Among the available resources is How We Heal, our award-winning film created by Healthy NewsWorks student reporters featuring conversations with therapists, educators, scientists, artists, athletes, and others about healing and well-being.
Students interested in creating their own videos can turn to the Student Filmmaking Series, where student reporters share tips for taking better videos in four short segments.
Know a teacher or parent who could use these resources? Share the Teachers page or browse the Classroom Activities to bring health, journalism, and media literacy to more students.
