Healthy NewsWorks seeks volunteers
July 24, 2026

Healthy NewsWorks is recruiting volunteers to help expand its work with elementary and middle school student journalists during the upcoming school year. The organization is seeking volunteer editors, page designers, and family engagement workshop facilitators.

Volunteer opportunities

Volunteer editors work remotely with Healthy NewsWorks staff to review student writing, proofread newspapers and magazines, and provide feedback that helps young reporters strengthen their journalism skills. The flexible position is ideal for experienced editors, particularly those with a background in journalism who enjoy mentoring student writers.
