Two student-produced videos were shown to spur discussion during the Healthy Conversations event in April 2026.
The videos grew out of student reporting related to the 2025–26 Healthy NewsWorks reporting theme, “Making Healthy Connections.”
One video, “Making Healthy Connections”, featured interviews and artwork by Healthy NewsWorks student reporters in grades 4–8 about the importance of healthy social connections for children and teens. Students shared ideas about how young people can get involved in their communities, build friendships, and engage with others in positive ways.
The second video provided a brief overview of Healthy NewsWorks and highlighted how the program teaches media literacy through student journalism, interviewing, and health reporting.
