By Maya, AMY Northwest Healthy Bulldog | From time to time, Amy Northwest plans a school trip. Last fall, we had a trip to the Philadelphia Zoo. School bus transportation was provided for us to attend.

The zoo has many types of animals, including reptiles, birds, and more. I saw monkeys, lions, penguins, flamingos, turtles, snakes, crocodiles, giraffes, hippopotamuses, an owl, and many more.

When we took a break to eat lunch, I saw beautiful birds flying around freely. Ms. Beard, an autistic support aid, and I took pictures at a pumpkin display and an Action News prop.

Before leaving the zoo and boarding the school bus, I stopped at the pretzel stand and bought a pretzel and something to drink. It was a very exciting and fun day at the zoo!
