b"Dear Student: Welcome to By Kids, For Kids magazine from Healthy NewsWorks! There's something for everyone here, from people and animal stories to book reviews and games. For this issue, Healthy NewsWorks student reporters in grades 3 to 8 looked at how environmental issues and especially climate change can affect people's health. They gathered facts from books and articles and interviewed experts on green transportation, rivers and wetlands, climate anxiety, gardening, and more. Our reporting teams include several hundred elementary and middle school students just like you in the Philadelphia area.We hope these articles, reflections, illustrations, and other information help you learn more about your environment and how you can make a positive impact. Ask your teacher if your classroom can try one of the activities on page 30. Maybe your class can take on an environmental project and send us a story and illustrations about it. We'll consider putting YOUR work on the Healthy NewsWorks By Kids, For Kids web platform: www.healthynewsworks.org.Enjoy!
